This is the signature trip of the Amalfi Coast. On a traditional gozzo or a speedboat you leave Positano (also Praiano or Amalfi) and cruise along the coast to Capri, the most beautiful way to arrive.
Typical itinerary
- Views of the Li Galli islands and Punta Campanella.
- A loop around Capri by sea: White Grotto, Green Grotto and through the arch of the Faraglioni.
- Swim stop in a Capri cove.
- 2-3 hours of free time in Capri or Anacapri.
- Optional Blue Grotto, sea permitting (entry paid separately).
Who it is for
Everyone. Ideal if you want to avoid the crowded ferries of July and August.
What to bring
- Swimwear, towel and sunscreen.
- Cash for the Blue Grotto, the funicular or lunch in Capri.
- Comfortable shoes to walk up to the Piazzetta.
Best time
May to October. May, June and September are the least crowded months. In rough seas the route is adapted or cancelled.
Good to know
Groups are limited to 12 people, so the atmosphere is far calmer than on large boats. Departures are usually early morning, to reach Capri before the cruise-ship ferries arrive. Lunch is not included, which leaves you free to choose a trattoria in Anacapri or a beach club.
Included
- Small-group boat with skipper
- Loop around Capri by sea
- Swim and snorkel stop
- Water, soft drinks and prosecco
