Try Scuba Diving in Bequia, Grenadines

Try Scuba Diving in Bequia, Grenadines

Your first dive on Bequia’s reefs: turtles, trumpetfish and coral just minutes from Admiralty Bay. No certification needed.

Bequia has more than 30 dive sites within 15 minutes by boat of Admiralty Bay, with walls, reefs and a wreck or two. It is an excellent place for a try dive: 26-28 °C water, good visibility and long-established PADI centres on the island.

What you do

  • Briefing and practice in shallow water.
  • Boat dive to 12 m with an instructor.
  • Turtles, rays, parrotfish, lobsters and sea fans.

Who it is for

Ages 10+, no experience needed. You will fill in a medical questionnaire. If you are already a diver, book guided dives at Devil’s Table, Moonhole or the Lireco wreck.

What to bring

  • Swimwear, towel and reef-safe sunscreen.
  • Your certification if you are a diver.

For sailors

If you are anchored in Admiralty Bay, many centres will pick you up from your boat by tender.

Best time

December to June. Do not fly for 12-18 hours after diving.

Good to know

Bequia is small and relaxed; dive centres are on Admiralty Bay, a few steps from the ferry dock. The dive runs in the morning, leaving the afternoon for Princess Margaret Beach or the Old Hegg turtle sanctuary. Ferries from St Vincent take about an hour, so it also works as a day trip.

Included

  • PADI instructor
  • Full equipment
  • Boat trip
  • Marine park fee
