  • El Faro beach: one of the most central and busy beaches in Marbella, ideal for a day of shopping due to its proximity to luxury shops, terraces and restaurants.
  • Guadalmina beach:is a beach with idyllic views of Gibraltar and the Moroccan Atlas Mountains. It is located in San Pedro de Alcántara.
  • Nagüeles beach: it is a very popular beach, with good services and a promenade, with access for the disabled.
  • Nueva Andalucía beach: it stretches from Puerto Banús to Nueva Andalucía. It has small coves and a promenade lined with palm trees.
  • Puerto Banús beach: it has a large influx of tourists, who enjoy all kinds of services and the best restaurants.
  • Rio Verde beach: this is one of the busiest beaches in Marbella. The remains of a 1st century Hispano-Roman villa, known as the Villa Romana de Rio Verde, can be seen in the surrounding area.
  • San Pedro de Alcántara beach: it is a quiet beach to enjoy a wonderful and relaxing day of sun and sea, walking along its promenade.
  • Bolonia beach: this beach with clean and cold waters is about 4 km long and is ideal for windsurfers. It is well known throughout Spain for the Duna de Bolonia, a
    sand dune almost 30 metres high, which was declared a National Monument in 2001.
  • Caños de Meca beach (Barbate): the district of Caños de Meca has clean, quiet and white sandy beaches: Faro beach (Trafalgar), Marisucia beach, Pirata beach, Castillejos beach and Las Cortinas beach. These beachesare ideal for nudists and are not recommended for families with children.
  • Costa Ballena beach (Rota): it is a golden sandy beach with several bars, restaurants and other services such as rescue service, showers, access for people with reduced mobility, toilets, sun lounger and boat rental service. There are also nautical and diving clubs.
  • Playa del Faro de Trafalgar (Barbate): a beach with spectacular views and renowned for its fine golden sand and colourful sunsets. It has an area suitable for nudists.
  • Playa de la Fontanilla (Conil de la Frontera): this is one of the most popular beaches in Conil de la Frontera, with cool, shallow waters. It is the ideal place to enjoy and share the day with family and friends. It has a promenade with a wide variety of restaurants and beach bars.
  • Playa de los Alemanes (Zahara de los Atunes): the name of this beach is due to the German soldiers who used this bay as a supply reserve during the Second World War. It has natural pools located between the sharp rocks, with a natural breakwater known as the “nest of the underground shelter”.
  • Sanlúcar de Barrameda beaches: it has an extension of 6 km, made up of five smaller beaches, among which the following stand out: beach of Bajo de Guía, beach of Las Piletas, beach of La Calzada.
  • Marbella Castle : this building is also known as Castillo de la Madera and Alcazaba de Marbella. It is a castle in ruins, located in the historic centre of Marbella.
  • Ermita de Los Monjes: these are the ruins of an ancient hermitage, which is the starting point of a very popular hiking route in Malaga.
  • Urban Wall of Marbella: it is a fortification in ruins, made up of brick walls and crenellated fortifications, built during the Moorish period. It has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.
  • Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving:: cultural building inaugurated on 28 November 1992. It has a vast collection of four thousand prints, of diverse tendencies of contemporary Spanish artists: Picasso, Dalí, Miró, Barceló, among other renowned artists.
  • Ladrones Towers: is a 14-metre high watchtower in the shape of a square prism, built during the period of Muslim domination. It is located in the area of the Artola Dunes, next to the Port of Cabopino..
  • Trapiche de Guadaiza: it is an industrial building built in 1823 for the processing of sugar cane. In 2015 the Trapiche de Guadaiza Cultural Centre was inaugurated.
  • Villa Romana de Río Verde: this is the urban pars of a villa located at the mouth of the River Verde. It was formerly dedicated to the exploitation of the sea and the salting of fish, considered a lucrative activity of the Betic coastal settlements during the Roman period.
  • Festivities of the Virgen del Carmen: is celebrated on July 16th, with a traditional maritimal procession conformated by boats that arrive to pay homage to the virgin.
  • Festivities in honour of the patrón Saint Bernabé of Logroño: every 11 June these festivities are held in honour of San Bernabé, the patron saint of Logroño. Various activities take place, such as historical re-enactments, gastronomic tastings and Renaissance markets.
  • Festivities of San Pedro de Alcántara: these festivities are full of tradition and are celebrated every 19th October, beginning with the ringing of bells, fireworks and many other traditions in honour of San Pedro de Alcántara.
  • La Romería a la Cruz de Juanar: it is celebrated on the 1st of May, to commemorate a legend that tells of sailors who placed the Cruz de Juanar, in the middle of the Sierra Blanca after being saved from a dense fog at sea.

• Ajoblanco: a kind of soup served cold, in which almonds are used in its preparation.
• Boquerones: this is the typical fish of the coast  of Malaga, similar to the sardine in shape and flavour.
• Ensalada malagueña: made with potatoes, oranges, spring onions, cod and olives, with a very original contrast of flavours.
• Espeto de sardinas:this is a typical dish from the coastal area of Malaga, prepared with sardines cooked on the edge of the fire.
• Fritura malagueña: it is prepared with various types of fish floured and fried in olive oil, with a very special flavour.
• Gazpacho y porra: it is a cold soup, prepared with tomato.

  • Festival Starlite Catalana Occidente: it s considered the best boutique festival in the world and the longest running, with more than 60 days of concerts.
  • European Youth Sailing Championships in the Laser Class and European Open Trophy: competitions in which more than 300 sailors between 14 and 17-year-olds from many countries.
  • Provincial Carnival Circuit: this is a programme dedicated to Carnival, with performances by groups in 46 towns with less than 50,000 inhabitants in the province.
  • Concert Music Festival: held in the months of July and August 2023 in the town of Sancti Petri, with the participation of the best national and international artists of different musical genres and styles.
  • Ciudad de Cádiz Half Marathon: sporting event with 10 categories, organised by the Andalusian Athletics Federation.
  • Magellam-Elcano Tall Ships Regatta: maritime event in which crews from all over Europe take part. It commemorates the first circumnavigation of the world carried out 500 years ago by the expedition of Ferdinand Magellan and Juan Sebastian Elcano.
