In September 1944 an air raid sank a fleet of Japanese ships in Coron Bay. Today these World War II wrecks are covered in coral and fish, at depths from around 10 to over 30 metres.
How the trip works
- Morning departure from Coron Town on a dive boat.
- Two guided dives on wrecks chosen for your level and conditions (for example Olympia Maru, Kogyo Maru or Okikawa Maru).
- Surface interval with lunch on board, often with a stop at a beach or lake.
- Back by mid-afternoon.
Who it is for
For divers certified Open Water or higher. Some deeper wrecks need Advanced certification and experience; penetration is only done with proper training. If you do not dive yet, ask us about a try dive.
What to bring
Certification card and logbook, swimwear, towel, sunscreen and a warm layer for the boat. Full gear can be rented.
Best time
Diving runs all year, but November to May usually brings calmer seas. Visibility on the wrecks varies. We recommend not flying within 24 hours after diving.
If you travel with non-divers, they can join the boat and snorkel at some shallow spots such as the Skeleton Wreck, subject to availability, while you dive the deeper wrecks with your guide.
Included
- 2 guided dives
- Dive boat and guide
- Tanks, weights and lunch
- Water and fruit on board
