Less than two hours from Labuan Bajo, the interior of Flores holds landscapes very different from the marine park. This day trip combines two of the area’s most beautiful spots: Cunca Wulang canyon and Rangko Cave.
What you do
- A walk through jungle and rice fields with a village guide to Cunca Wulang.
- A swim in the green pools of the canyon, between rock walls and waterfalls.
- Transfer to the coast and a short boat ride to Rangko Cave.
- A swim in the saltwater pool lit by the light streaming into the cave.
Who it is for
Active travellers who want a different day on land. The walk to the canyon is of moderate difficulty, on dirt and stone sections that get slippery after rain. Jumping from the rocks in the canyon is optional and only with the local guide.
What to bring
- Shoes that can get wet with good grip.
- Swimwear, towel and a dry bag.
- Water, insect repellent and respectful clothing for passing through villages.
