Try scuba diving is the easiest way to discover Ibiza’s underwater world. The island’s waters are famous for their visibility thanks to the Posidonia oceanica seagrass meadows, a UNESCO World Heritage site shared with Formentera.
How it works
- Short briefing at the dive centre: equipment, hand signals and breathing.
- Practice in shallow water until you feel comfortable.
- Guided dive of about 30–40 minutes to a maximum of 12 metres, with a certified instructor by your side.
- Shore or boat departure depending on the centre and area (Sant Antoni, Portinatx or Santa Eulària).
Who it is for
Anyone aged 10 or over who can swim and wants to try diving with no commitment. Before the activity you fill in a standard medical questionnaire; if you answer yes to any question, the centre may ask for a doctor’s sign-off.
What to bring
- Swimwear and a towel.
- Sunscreen for after the dive.
- If you wear glasses, ask about prescription masks when booking.
Best time to go
May to October. Water is above 22 °C from June and visibility is often excellent in September. You should not fly for 12–24 hours after diving, so plan your try dive early in your trip.
Included
- Certified dive instructor
- Full scuba equipment
- Guided introductory dive
