Try Scuba Diving in Boracay

Try Scuba Diving in Boracay

Your first scuba dive in Boracay’s warm waters, with a certified instructor and in small groups. No previous experience needed and all gear included.

Boracay is a great place to try scuba diving: water at around 27-29 °C, good visibility and shallow reefs just minutes by boat from White Beach.

How the try dive works

  • Theory briefing at the dive centre: gear, hand signals and basic techniques.
  • Skills practice in shallow water, standing and at your own pace.
  • Guided reef dive to a maximum depth of around 12 metres, always next to your instructor.
  • Chances to see clownfish, turtles and soft corals.

Requirements

Minimum age 10, comfortable in the water, and a medical questionnaire. If you have any health condition, check with your doctor before booking.

What to bring

Swimwear, towel and sunscreen. All dive gear is included.

Best time

Diving runs all year. From November to May the centre usually uses sites on the sheltered east or south coast. Avoid flying within 24 hours after diving.

Good to know: the ratio is a maximum of 2 students per instructor in the water, so you can go at your own pace. If you enjoy it, you can continue with the Open Water course over the following days. We recommend booking at least one day ahead in high season, especially around Christmas, Chinese New Year and Easter.

Included

  • Certified instructor
  • Full scuba gear
  • Boat transfer to the dive site
  • Briefing and shallow-water practice
