The bay of Mali Ston, an hour from Dubrovnik, has farmed European flat oysters for centuries thanks to its mix of fresh and salt water. This excursion combines sea, history and food at the gateway to the Pelješac peninsula.
What the tour looks like

- Boat ride across the bay to an oyster farm, with an explanation of how they are grown.
- Tasting of fresh oysters and mussels with local wine.
- Visit to Ston and its walls, over 5 km long and among the longest in Europe.
- Tasting at a Pelješac winery: Plavac Mali and other local wines.
Who it is for
Foodies, couples and groups wanting to taste southern Dalmatia. Not suitable for people with shellfish allergies (it can be adapted with other local products if mentioned when booking). Wine tasting for over-18s only.
What to bring
- Comfortable shoes and a hat.
- A camera for the walls and the bay.
