Komodo National Park is not just dragons: underwater it hides some of the most biodiverse reefs in the world. This snorkeling trip leaves Labuan Bajo and devotes the whole day to the sea, without the Padar or Komodo hikes.
Usual stops
- Manta Point: with current and luck, oceanic mantas feeding near the surface.
- Taka Makassar, a sandbar in the middle of the sea ringed by reef.
- Siaba, known for its green and hawksbill turtles.
- Kanawa, with coral reef right off the beach and thousands of colorful fish.
Respect rules
Mantas and turtles are observed without touching, chasing or blocking their path. The guide briefs you before each entry and reef-safe sunscreen is used.
