A try dive is the easiest way to experience breathing underwater. You start with a short theory session at the dive center, get fitted with gear and practise the basic skills in very shallow water before descending with your instructor.
How it works
- About 30 minutes of safety briefing and hand signals.
- Practice in shallow water until you feel comfortable.
- A 30 to 40 minute dive, maximum depth 6 metres.
- Small groups: one instructor for no more than two students.
On the rocky seabed you will often see white bream, gilthead bream, octopus, starfish and sometimes moray eels.
Who it is for
Anyone aged 10+ in good health who is comfortable in the water. You complete a standard medical questionnaire before diving.
What to bring
Swimwear, towel and sunscreen. Do not fly within 24 hours after diving.
Best time: May to October, when the water is above 19 °C. A full wetsuit is provided.
