This is the most popular day out in Paros: a boat day around southern Antiparos, anchoring in crystal-clear water you cannot reach by road. Departures usually leave from Parikia or Pounda on a traditional kaiki or a catamaran.
What you will see
- Despotiko, an uninhabited island with an archaeological sanctuary of Apollo and white-sand beaches.
- Panteronisia, a cluster of islets with turquoise lagoons, perfect for snorkeling.
- Coves and sea caves on the Antiparos coast, depending on wind and sea state.
Who it is for
Families, couples and groups of friends. No experience needed; children are welcome and the crew helps anyone who wants to swim with a life vest. It is the easy way to enjoy the Cyclades from the sea without sailing for a whole week.
What to bring
- Swimwear, towel, sunscreen and a hat.
- Water shoes for pebbly beaches.
- Some cash if you want to go ashore in Antiparos.
Best time
May to October. When the meltemi blows hard (July-August), the skipper picks the most sheltered coves of the day. June to September seats sell out, so book early.
Good to know
Lunch is usually simple Greek food prepared on board: salad, pasta or grilled fish and fruit. Let us know about allergies or dietary needs when booking so the crew can plan for them.
Included
